MANY TIMES, EXPERIENCE IT FIRST THEN TEACH IT

Our walk with God is manifested in two ways:

1. Our secret or private walk with Him

2. Our manifestation of that walk to the public

The easiest one is the second because we live in a generation where discernment has become scarce. And so many people fail to discern whether the one ministering is walking with the Lord or not.

And so it is easy for a young minister to come in the public and minister issues that he himself has not handled in his private walk with God.

Our public manifestation should and must be an overflow of our private walk with God.

For instance, why should you come to the public to teach on prayer when you rarely pray in your private time?

Look at what John said in 1 John 1:1-2

“The word that gives life was from the beginning, and this is the one our message is about. Our ears have heard, our eyes have seen, and our hands have touched this word. The one who gives life appeared! We saw it happen, and we are witnesses to what we have seen. Now we are telling you about this…”

Did you see that? They handled, touched, heard and saw it, then they declared it unto us..

We must get to the point were we are living witnesses to our message. It is not enough to just learn it from a servant of God and preach it also. We must experience it.

Because of much study, I knew so much about marriage many years ago but my mentor guided me not to teach it until I got married. Not because I didn’t know anything about marriage. But all because of this principle and the weight of Glory it carries when you have experienced it first.
